HOW TO VISIT
To approach Sundarban National Park, you have to start from kolkata and travel by road for about 100 kms where the main land ends. After there it takes around 1.5 hours by boat/or 15 minutes by local transportation from where the buffer area of the jungle starts. You can also arrive at Jharkhali which is directly linked by road but the tourism infrastructure is limited here. The Govt. plans to build a tourism hub here in future. Jharkhali has a tiger rescue center where injured and old tigers are rescues when they enter the villages for easy prey. There are also train connectivity & Public Buses plying but are not very convenient for tourists. If you are on tight schedule and go for a Day Tour To Sundarbans, you will visit Sajnekhali Tiger Project & Sudhanya Khali Watch Tower and few Narrow Creeks.
