Itinerary Sundarban Tour 1 Night 2 Days Packages Tour
📅 Day 1: Kolkata → Godkhali → Gosaba → Dayapur Island.
8:30 AM – Pickup from Kolkata- After breakfast, depart Kolkata in an AC Car / Passenger Van.
Pickup points available: Indian Museum – 8:30 AM/ Science City – 9:00 AM
Enjoy a 3.5-hour scenic drive to Godkhali, the last road point of the Indian mainland.
12:30 PM – Transfer to Gosaba- Cross the river to Gosaba Island.
Visit two historical attractions: Hamilton Bungalow & Rabindranath Tagore’s Bungalow.
1:30 PM – Arrival & Lunch at Resort (Dayapur Island), Check in at our resort on beautiful Dayapur Island. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at our resort.
4:30 PM – Village Walk & Bird Watching Boat Ride. Walk through scenic paddy fields, and visit villages of honey collectors and fishermen. Enjoy an evening boat ride for bird watching, spotting:

7:30 AM – Begin the Jungle Safari- Board our luxury boat. Take forest permits and meet the Forest-Approved Guide. Full-day cruise through the mangrove creeks and rivers. Watchtower Visits (3 Major Points). You will visit: Sajnekhali Watch Tower, Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Dobanki Watch Tower (Canopy Walk)
Major Attractions Covered- Sajnekhali Tiger Project, Crocodile & Turtle Projects, Mangrove Interpretation Centre, Bono Bibi Temple, Pirkhali & Gazikhali creeks, Pancha Mukhani (Five River Confluence), Several narrow creeks and dense mangrove forests.

As of 01/01/2026 For a single day tour to Sundarbans covering Sajnekhali, Sudhayakhali & DoBanki Watch Towers the entry charges are as follows. Boat Entry & Guide charges To Jungle Rs 500 for Indians & Rs 2000 for Non Indians. Guide Charges Is Rs 500 for Indians and for Non Indians It is Rs 1000/-. For Bonnie Camp and Kalash Island the same charges apply. For Nethidhopani Watchtowers which is only watchtower inside the core area all the charges are double. These charges sometimes changes due to peak season so you can call us before planning Sundarban tour package. HOW To Reach FROM KOLKATA?
By Train- From Kolkata, take a train from Sealdah to Canning (1 hour), then travel by road to Godkhali (1 hour). From Godkhali, a 30-minute ferry takes you to Gosaba, followed by a 45-minute auto or van ride to Pakhirala Village, where various lodges and resorts are available.
Alternatively, from Canning, you can take a bus, auto, or shared jeep to Jharkhali for accommodation.
Note: Trains to Canning are unreserved suburban services, often overcrowded and uncomfortable for tourists.
By Road- There are two main routes to the Sundarbans. One goes via Baruipur–Canning, around 100 km from Kolkata, but takes nearly 4 hours due to heavy traffic. The other, via Basanti Highway, is longer in distance but quicker due to lighter traffic.
If you're heading to the Sundarbans via Godkhali, you'll be dropped there and continue to Pakhirala using the ferry and land route. However, if your destination is Jharkhali, you can drive straight there by car without needing a ferry.
WHAT IS SUNDARBANS FAMOUS FOR?
The Sundarbans is home to rare and threatened species like the Royal Bengal Tiger, estuarine crocodile, Gangetic dolphin, water monitor lizard, and olive ridley turtle. While wildlife sightings are possible, cruising on a houseboat with fresh seafood offers a truly immersive experience of nature at its purest.

It was recent visit to Sunderban via jharkhali. The experience was beyond of expectations with charming hospitality with a selected place to visit to enjoy the thrilling experience of forest visit in the short timespan like a weekend. The trip to Sunderban was indeed a mesmerising experience. Good services from “visit Sunderbans :Take a break travel” , including arrangements, food and stay . Jharkarli is a good point to start the safari but activities planned for previous day should be modified.
