Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Bolpur Shantiniketan Railway station/Prantik Station & Shantiniketan campus. Upon arriving at Bolpur Shantiniketan railway station , our representative will meet you, and assist with checking in at your hotel. After lunch visit Shantiniketan Ashram complex, to visit iconic installations like Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, Rabindra Bhaban Museum, Shantiniketan Griha, Path Bhavan, Uttarayan complex, Upasana Griha, Chhatimtala, and more where Rabindranath Tagore has resided and other places inside the University. Later head for Kankalitala Temple, to witness the evening Aarti. Overnight At hotel.
Day 2 After breakfast we visit the Kopai river(The area around the river quite often has purple soil, which forms ravines on the river bank with weathering and is popular as the khoai. It has inspired literary figures in the area. It is described by Rabindranath Tagore as follows –"amader chhoto nadi chale banke banke, baisakh mase taar haatu jal thake" which translates as " Our small stream moves forward in bends and curves, In the month of Baisakh it only has knee deep waters". The local name of a sickle-shaped, channel like curve in the river inspired the title of the novel Hansuli Banker Upakatha (Story of the Sickle-shaped Curve) by Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay, made into a film by Tapan Sinha.
Later we visit Srijani Silpagram, Amar Kutir, Prakriti Bhavan, Buddha Statue 34 feet, Palashbani Gram & Khoai Sonajhuri Haat.
Day 3 Today after breakfast we take a trip to Surul Jamidar Bari and the ruins of Raipur Jamidar Bari (This tour is a historical optional trip mostly related to the famous Lord Sinha's family) Additional charges applicable for Car and Guide. Later drop to Station as per train schedule.
